The Assemblies of God were established in the 1969's. Its first Pastor would be called Kibsa Joël ZABSONRE admitted in retreat in 2003.

Patriarch Rev ZABSONRE Kibsa Joel, Missionary Pastor raised to the rank of Knight of the Order of Merit on behalf of the President of Faso by Rev Dr Michel OUEDRAOGO President of the Church of the Assemblies of God in Burkina Faso. A merit obtained from the top of his 115th years with more than 72 years of pastoral life including nearly 20 years of missionary life in Benin 36 years in Garango and retired since 2003 to join on March 26, 2020 the heavenly homeland.
